Based on my own experiences with doctors and my journey to find my abdominal pain source. Everything said in this video has been said to me at appointments at some point.

They told you upfront what the copays were? Early this month I stopped by the ER to see if I had cracked a rib or two and maybe get a couple days of serious pain med. 2.5 days later I left after 6 ECGs, 3 metaboliic blood panels, 3 triponin T tests, 1 bilateral carotid ultrasound, 1 chest ultrasound, 2 magnesium level tests, 2 chest CTs, 1 head CT, 1 D-Dimer test (whatever that is), 1 thyroid test, 1 hemoglobin test (isn’t that part of one of the earlier blood panels?), 1 head CT, 1 rib x-ray. At no time was cost ever mentioned! I subsequently received an estimate of $1,600 total copays. Too late to ask: “Do we really need all this ionizing radiation exposure?” Oh, they found nothing, even on the head CT. But they are determined. I am now wearing a heart monitor for 30 days (9days left). “By God, we’re going to find something! No matter how much it costs.” My wife — a medical technologist — thinks Premier needs the money and knows good insurance when they see it.
Omg, my story too. I have been pictured, poked, prodded, referred . My balance, dizziness issue after over 2 years still undiagnosed but lots od time and money. Good luck π

The human medical profession is out of control. These people are more worried about their money than they are your health. And take their own sweet time doing it.
How frustrating! It’s hard to deal with things and not know why or how to treat them but I feel like there are things that just have no easy answers sometimes and they have to actually be able to see what is wrong to treat it correctly. I have anxiety so I have a lot of symptoms with no answers because the anxiety causes symptoms with no real physical problem, which only complicates things. I hope you get to the bottom of your pain and get relief.
Yep, been
One thing for sure; you need another doctor.
You should have charged for a home visit to…oThanks to all the animal care specialists who take care of our babies.
I don’t have animals and have never had the need to go to a vet. But your assessment of human medicine is spot-on, Dr. Emily. Sometimes I just want to scream at the providers, “Just find the ******* problem and fix it!” π
And I empathize with your last point about vet clients not understanding the cost of doing business. Too many people fail to understand any perspective other than their own.
