Vlog: Easter Egg Hunt

The Thomas family had a practice Easter Egg Hunt so that Calvin could learn/practice before the big day. With most things in this family, there was a lot of laughing, some crying, and of course dancing. Stick around to the end for Oscar’s dance. We all need some good fun positive entertainment right now, so please tell us about your Easter. And, as always, Thanks for watching.

  1. Brought back memories of my NOW GROWN grandchildren. Enjoyed watching YOUR children and hearing your voice. This year I made my grandchildren “MASK” for Easter because of the VIRUS.

  2. It’s nice seeing how spring is in your area. A little more greener than here but it’s coming soon. We spent our Easter watching our church Easter video service . Our pastor’s last service before retiring after 25 years of service. One of the big highlights of the day was watching a video of our nearly 3 year old granddaughter open one of her plastic Easter eggs. Inside the egg were chocolate covered raisins which she started to enjoy. Then her mom whispers. “They look like rabbit poop.” Granddaughter heard that remark. She thinks about it and looks closely at them and says.”Not rabbit poop! Chocolate covered raisins! “ She puts another in her mouth and Smiles while eating it. Her mom agreed they are chocolate covered raisins that just look like rabbit poop. Personally, I think the dark chocolate covered raisins look more like rabbit poop,. 🙂 With her mom being a high school science teacher granddaughter Claire became her mom’s teaching assistant for teaching her Mom’s students how to do experiments they can do at home. We got to enjoy those videos too. Have a great week Dr. Emily and family. Thanks for sharing your light!

  3. The memory are great of trying to remember how many you hid for sure.Finding one with mower later in the summer. Blessing on your family.Be safe.

  4. Don’t have any little ones any more so I loved watching your children search for Easter eggs. In any area of your deck that gets 8 hours of sunlight you could use an Earth Box to plant tomatoes or just about anything else you like. After planting two tomatoes a box, all you do is water them each day. Minimal care and lots of tomatoes. It works great.

    Enjoy Virginia.

  5. So stinking cute! It’s killing me how quickly the growing up. Just watched old Dr. Pol episode pre-Calvin days. You found a beautiful setting for your VA home (got a little cold snap today). Love the beach / deck chairs. Bodes well for your summer beach trips. Thank you for sharing a slice of your lives. Softens blow of your departures from PVC.

  6. Sweet! I love that Oscar put an egg in Calvin’s basket at the beginning. It’s good you had a rehearsal! When my younger daughter was 4, we went to the church’s egg hunt, and she was so sweet natured, she was letting all the other kids take the eggs…she ended up with none! The church made it right 😉God bless the children!

  7. Again thanks for letting us in on episodes of your lives in Virginia. Still watching re- runs on Nat Geo, but will miss you there on future episodes and happy that you’re willing to keep in contact with your fans!

  8. I saw Oscar slip an egg into Calvin’s basket. So sweet! You have a very nice family. Hope your Easter was terrific!

  9. Thank you for bringing so much light into my day thru your video,it brought many smiles to my face . You are so fortunate to have a beautiful family and the scenery around your home is fantastic. I love seeing your children growing up. Thanks again this is my favorite video so far, and I love them all.

  10. How absolutely lovely. My own kids are 54 and 52. My grandkids are teenagers so our Easter Egg hunts are long past. My current goal is to survive the pandemic and live long enough to see some great grandkids do an Easter Egg Hunt. In the mean time my wife and I get a lot of vicarious pleasure watching yours.

  11. Thanks for some good entertainment. Also for thinking Calvin said “spider drain” because that’s what I thought he said also.

  12. Such fun! Thank you for sharing and so thrilled you have such a beautiful area to live and have your children grow up there. Easter Blessings to you ALL!~

  13. First, I must say, your place is fabulous. so much room for the kids to run and play….I am in New Brunswick and we do not have spring yet.. I am watching the weather network and its minus 1 on April 16…i have an 8 year old grandson and have not seen him now for a few weeks… we facetime, so until this mess is all over, that will have to keep me satisfied. i miss his hugs, though…the video made my day…. thanks….

  14. This makes me have fond memories of my niece and nephews and now there are grand nieces and nephews that i hardly get to see.
Watching your little ones grow has been an honor. I saw you on dr. Pol last weekend when you were so very pregnant with Calvin. The way you handled all that with such grace and humor. I still enjoy the repeats. I have learned alot but don’t retain so much in my old age. Lol.
Hope you Birthday was good and your Easter was great as well.

  15. Fun times. Great memories. Looks like you had a beautiful Easter weekend. Here in Indiana it so as cold and dreary. My boys are teenager, but when they were young our egg hunts were always inside due to lovely midwest weather.

Hope the REAL Easter Egg hunt was as successful😊

  16. Love how older brother gave an egg to Calvin. You live in a beautiful area. Is that your barn across the road? I saw you had a pony in Mich. Do you still have the same animals. Glad you are doing well in Virginia however I miss seeing you on the show. Family and your health must come first. Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with us. You have a beautiful family. I live in Ohio
